The long waited album, “Dawn FM” by the one and only The Weeknd.

A quick review of the artist's new release.

What a fantastic way to begin the year 2022! The Weeknd's fifth studio album is Dawn FM. It was released by XO and Republic Records on January 7, 2022. The album has 16 tracks and contains Tyler the Creator and Lil Wayne, as well as narration by Jim Carey and Quincy Jones.

With a cohesive and ambitious concept, the album opens him up to a larger audience than ever before, The Weeknd adds a new depth to his style with each song. Many have stated that this is a departure from what he published on his debut album, which was more somber and had less of a retro theme. In our opinion, this is one of the best albums he has ever made. While many people love his prior work on "Trilogy" and "Kissland," we believe Dawn FM demonstrates his progress as an artist as well as a person. This album represents the essence of The Weeknd's work and a fitting follow-up to his most acclaimed album, After Hours.

Dawn FM's album cover shows an older version of himself. The record seemed to be moving away from the fun and party vibe and toward facing death and mortality. The Weeknd absolutely smashes the “old man” version of himself in his new music video Gasoline. In the video, he relentlessly and violently beats him up, prompting followers to believe that no matter what you do, you can't defeat aging and death. Dawn FM represents the point in life when you have to surrender and accept your fate. For many years, The Weeknd has demonstrated that he is one of the greatest artists working today, and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us in his new era.
